I could not only hear the other chat but I could also hear all the GPL
sounds.  Compared to Roger Wilco, Fire Talk *IS* the tool to have.  One
possible solution would be to send an Email to Fire Talk asking for some
possible solutions or even a new version of Fire Talk that'll support
GPL.

Mean while, Roger Wilco still remains to be the best thing for ***
because it's free.

Has anyone had any success in getting firetalk to work in a GPL race?

If you have, please could you explain how you did it!

When I tried with some friends, we have the problem that when in GPL we are
not heard when we speak. However we can still hear people who are not in the
GPL race.
I also had the added problem that I had no sound in GPL while firetalk was
still running.

Thanks for the help

I just went looking around in the options section of Fire Talk.  When I
originally installed the application I set it up to use a button (left
arrow key) to talk.  I had the same problem as you did as far as being
able to hear all the chat but not able to transmit.

while looking at that "options" set up window I noticed that the Arrow
key was selected *BUT* the check box next to it that says "use Global
Push to Talk" was not selected.  I just checked it but I haven't been
able to test it in GPL yet.  So, There's a *possible* solution.

Yesterday While in GPL I could hear the Chat and all of the GPL
sounds.  I had the Frame Rate display turned on and didn't notice a
single bit of frame rate drop at all. This all may, or may not, change
now that I have checked that check box.

Let you know when I know more..

Update!  Checking that check box did the trick!!  I could send with
ZERO fps hits.  The next problem is receiving again.  Could be a non
related problem but another F3 driver and I went through some tests.. He
could hear me but I couldn't hear him..  Still testing things though..
