I saw the Firetalk link on the VROC site.  Do many people use it?  My wife
and kids are in Europe for 3 weeks, I'm in the US.  The good news is I have
unlimited GPL time (got  almost 3 seconds of my Mosport time last night :)
but the bad news is I miss 'em a lot and talking for free sounds like a
pretty good deal.  They have internet access.  Will it work?

Firetalk provides very good voice quality over the 'net.  Your voice is heard
in real-time too, so you don't have to talk, wait for transmission, then the
other person talks ...  Whoever wants to talk, just press the "talk" button and
go.  It will be greyed out for the other person, so they have to wait for you
to finish.

The quick version is get it :-)

Jason.

We use it in our n3 league for pre-race info and for post race comments....I
love the program....

Firetalk works fine Tony but why bother.

Microsoft Net Meeting does exactly the same job and is standard with
windows.

Yes, Firetalk works quite well and is free.  There are many other voice
applications, too many to list here, but out of those that I tested, Fire
Talk seems to be the best.
