Off-line Racing

Ok it's time I tossed this puppy to the wolves..

Check out my Fif*** Minutes of Fame site at
HTTP://www.***g8t.com/jwhite/fame15.htm

This isn't offline racing like leagues,
it's more like a leader board.

Due to the inconsistant nature of the AI,
my version lets you race alone on the track.

Your times for each lap of the race, not
just the completion are compared to others.

This allows the scoring software to deterime
the virtual leader of each lap, and award bonus
points accordingly.

I'm implementing a season of races, so ability
at tracks like Talladega is more valuable than
Watkins Glen since you race twice in a season
at Talledega.

I've created 3 Division so you can find the
rules that suit your ability best.

Novice, runs with Damage set to NONE, and
the weather set close to 70 degrees and no wind.

Rookie, runs with Damage set to ARCADE, and
a little more challenging weather.

Pro, Damage is set to REALISTIC, and the weather
will be set to something close to the real race
conditions.

I've also set up 3 different distances.
25%, 50%, and 100%.

With these combinations, you have 9 different
forms of competition.

Each of the 9 will have all 28 stops available.
So there will be plenty of areas to specialize in.
Or you can go for the Season points lead.

Qualifing,
Due to the nature of my software I found it
best to work qualifing like a 3 lap race.
Lap 1 would be a warmup lap, and the software
will time laps 2 and 3.  The fastest would be
  your qualifing time.

To give qualifing some importance the race field
will be limited to those of the real race. Such
  as 36 racers at Bristol.

This means that even if your race times are the
fastest, they wouldn't count unless you could
  qualify in the field.

The software is beta. but seems stable under my tests.

Give it a try, send me some feedback. I know there are
some ideas out there I missed.  Let me know.
