N2: Marketing Ploy? (Off-LIne Racing Series, AI opponents)

I don''t want to make a mountain out of a molehill here
having only had NASCAR 2 for 2 days but:

1.) The AI still seems pretty dopey at times

2.) From what I am reading and surely Papyrus/Sierra watched and maybe

even competed in some of the many off-line racing series.
(NASS,  IVGA, etc.)  there doesn't seem to be alot (if any)
support for us to send in standings files for a given race. like we
did with NASCAR 1.2. So the race directors are going to have a real
struggle on thier hands trying to come up with a way to make it work.

Has anyone heard of any headway being made in regards to this?
It's starting to APPEAR (and this isn't a flame :)  that they (sierra)
are really trying to push everyone into the On-line stuff now.

I for one and I'm sure there are others, would end up going back to
running <gulp> Nascar 1.2 just to be able to continue to compete in
these OFF-LINE series.

Hi Andy,

You can't do standings?...I haven't had a pro blem doing this, but in
order to read them you'll need to open them in Wordpad instead of
Notepad as before.

Off line racing option is in the works....

It can't work the same as IVGA, but the info can be extracted.

At this moment it in alpha.. Not quite ready for outside testing...
