What to check when F12002 ctd's on start-up ?

by Ian Jarvi » Wed, 14 May 2003 00:38:50

It only ever seems to happen when I start to install mods such as BPR etc.

On two separate installations this has occurred , i.e the correct 'prog
files/EA' directory and also on a another drive.

Can someone give me any pointers. My rig is :-
AMD XP1700+
WinXP pro
GF3ti200 64mb
512mb ddr ram
latest '43.45' nvdia detonator
directx9a

Are there any config FAQ links anywhere to be found. ?

Also, is it critical the screen is set to the correct frequecy ( I don't
know whether my card is 60Hz or 75Hz etc )

cheers
IJ

This site has some good info for modders:

http://home.cablerocket.com/~waldroff/

and the the pinned threads at Simbin cover much of the installation
problems, most solutions for ONE mod will generally transpose to the other
mods...EXCEPT the pre-menu problems that occur with GTR.
