It's nice to see they finally patched GP2.

Too bad we have to pay for it.

Riveting thread this one....three very mature and informative comments. But
it's negative posts like these that will make my first wet weather race at
Spa or Albert Park even MORE enjoyable than it already would have been.
Cheers Phil

I assume you have a legal retail copy as well :-)

Have you seen any manuals yet? My review copy didn't have one, and I'm
wondering what this "virtual***pit" option is in the graphics setup.
It's greyed out and I can't select it. Perhaps I have too little memory
(64) for a virtual***pit...?

I am running a Pentium III 700mhz with 128mb SDRAM and a Riva TNT2 graphics
card and I think it is absolutely superb.
I did a quick race as David Coulthard and completely wrote the car of after
hitting a Ferrari and somersaulting through the air. The replay was
absolutely amazing to watch.
I have praticed most of the circuits and it is so photo-realistic that I
though that I would go and buy a crash helmet for added fun.

I have almost exactly the same as you despite a 750 PIII.
just curious, what graphics setup do you have.
Me 1024x768 at about 19.8 fps. It seems to work good that way, oh yes and
the detail slider bar set to maximum detail.

Well after loading GP3 it is not as good as I hoped it would, GP1 was great
in its day, GP2 was even better but GP3 is not much better than other sims
on the market now.
I have GP1,GP2 & GP3 also most others F1RS which I guess is better in light
it's 2 1/2 years old,
Nascar 1, 2 & 3, Indy car 1& 2, Toca 1 & 2 etc, Nascar 3 runs well on most
Pc's & is set up to use on line more than can be said for GP3.
Back to Nascar 3 on line more fun, if only F1RS drove a little better it
would kill GP3!!!!!!!!

I find it somewhat sad that for a game that has been officially released for less than a week, the large majority (not all, mind you) of us have "given-up" on GP3 and are already looking to GP4 (aka GP2.7) for a modern F1 simulation. Surely that must be a sign of a bad game. Personally, although I have not purchased the game, but it seems that based on the comments, it is very reminiscent of GP2 with all it's 4 year-old brilliance and faults. Simply for this reason, I will in all likelihood not buy the game when it is released in Canada. I just do not feel that Hasbro (or GC, for that matter) should be rewarded with my money for not paying attention to us, the customers, and addressing the problems that we've been discussing for years. It's not often that a company has hundreds of testers who diligently spend hundreds, if not thousands, of hours exploring every aspect of the game. The fact that no regard has been paid to our comments is, in my opinion, indicative of Hasbro's!
