we have some legal issues with the FIA concerning the patch at the moment.as
soon as these are cleared , which should be very soon, the patch will be
released

What kind of legal issues could prevent a patch from coming out? You'd think
that the release of the game means that everything is kosher between Ubi and the
FIA. Unless the patch contains updated specs for the 2001 season like, say, a
certain racetrack in Indiana?

BWAHAHAHAHAHA!!!!

I heard rumors that the FIA is asking Ubisoft to add another groove to their
tyre model because the lap times are too fast in F1RC.

Btw my spell check always wants to replace F1RC by "FARCE".  How true ;-)

It's not a farce. How long has F1RC been out?  Less than 2 months.  How long
did it take for Microprose to patch GP3, or Papy to patch GPL?  A little
more than 6 weeks I think you'll find.  Ubi have always been very good at
producing patches, so why would they make something up about FIA?  I can't
think of any reason to make up a silly excuse when they don't need to.

Must agree with this. The only good thing in F1RC are the supposedly
accurate track models. The rest is pretty average F1 fare.

The farce is the whole crop of supposed modern F1 simulations we have had
since a decade, not just F1RC.  So what if it's a little better then the
others? It's still not up to today's *** standards.

Hahah let me remind you of the NINE patches for F1RS, patches that patched
the patches, patches that made more bugs then anything else, etc.. (and it
still didn't had any sound in replay!)

PR.  It's blattent PR, they have done it for years.

Hi,

Well listen Ubi, I am a lawyer and I would love to help....so why don't you
just let us all know what those problems are as it all sounds like an
excuse, and a poor one at that!

So, might it just be that the 'so called' product was indeed a beta?
The final version was just around the corner?

Get your facts right about GPL, son, it wasn't broken so it didn't need
a patch. What happened was papy added features to it, so the 'patch' was
in fact an upgrade.

Will the F1Rc patch enable you to race 18 other guys online? GPL had
that from day one. Will the F1RC patch fix the AI? GPL had great AI from
day one. I'll stop there because I can't be arsed to point out the other
flaws in F1RC that need patching.

One another word - myth

(lesson learn to stop braking in the AI's face, they like human can't be
expected to react perfectly.  Surtees simply had a different alertness ratio
then others, thus he somehow became a mythical figure with the small
parabolica bug).

Unless I''m very much mistaken, I don't believe that you had anything to do
with my appearance on this planet.   But on the other hand.... maybe there's
something my mother hasn't told me!
I forgot, for a brief moment, that it is heresy to even suggest that GPL was
(is) anything but totally perfect on ras. Forgive me!  I don't think you're
right, but (as you would say) I can't be arsed going into it.
