uptill now I succeeded in doing a 360 quite easily by shifting down to 2nd
gear, turn in sharply, hit the hand break, release the handbrake and turn
the wheel to the opposite site.

But now with the GT1 this doesn't seem to work. It only does a 270 or
something like that.

What's the right technique???

Go in faster. I found that the higher speed was necessary to get it to spin
fully. Get as much speed as you can coming out of the cones before the 360.
Otherwise the technique is the same. Good luck.

Had the same problem. The game doesn't care if the 360 is really
beautiful. Just do the 270 and turn the final 90 (and a bit more)
(driving forwards) before exiting the cone area. The game will accept it
as a 360.

Actually, it is easy but requires a different approach from the
other cars. Start the the 360 the same as you would with other
cars and then once you have completed 180 degrees turn the
steering wheel opposite lock quickly and drive through it.

Its a little bit harder.  What you need to do is try and get your speed up as
high as possible (given) and then turn in like you would normally to do the
360.  Hit the hand brake and when you get between 180 degrees and  270 degrees
or so and start to feel the car gaining grip again, turn the wheel to opposite
lock and get on the throttle again.  That should kick it back around for you
to complete the 360.

Yup, the trick seems to be to keep the rears turning.... I succeeded  by
letting it do a 180 while shifting down to first, keeping the throttle
floored and completing the 360 by power spinning it back round the remaining
180.

Try doing it from an outside view so you can see when you're inside the
cones... failed a couple of times due to starting the spin too early.

Nearly there Patrick, keep at it.
