I saw a post on the Sierra board.  Nascar Games - NR2003 Season - General
Discussion - Ouch!!

I ain't no politician, so this foo-foo PC ***is out.
I lost an argument with a miter saw this weekend and severed the tendons to
all fingers except the index finger and thumb on my left hand.

Spent three hours in surgery getting everything connected back up.

John, I hope you make a speedy recovery.

Jeez, John, I hope that heals up for you. Sounds quite painful indeed. I've
been fortunate in the wood shop most of my life and know how fast things
like that can happen, even when you're paying close attention.

Best of luck with the recovery and any rehab that may be required.

Hey John,

I had a similar (table saw) thing happen to me slightly more than a year
ago. E-mail me if you'd like details on what to expect. BTW I was
configuring my pc steering wheel for one-handed shifting later the same day.

The pain meds they have me on make me too drowsy to drive, and my
cast weighs about 5 pounds.  I'm in no condition to race. :)

In a way you are very lucky, I know people who have completely lost fingers
in those kind of accidents.  Best wishes to you, I hope you heal quickly.

Same here John. Hope you recover quickly. I had an argument with an
electric plane a while back. I was doing fine until my wife mentioned the
hospital word :)

I don't think we are going to win these arguments (even a redneck like
John) btw

Judging by the posts of similar accidents I think we should stick to sim
racing...

Cheers
Tony
