Is a P2/450 with 128mb of RAM and a Voodoo2 card
sufficient to run GPL...?
Mikey
Think about it Richard - how can ANYBODY possibly be able to answer your
question with any authority or factual knowledge when the freakin board
isn't even available yet?
Every one of the reviews done on the card have been conducted with pre-
release drivers of one flavor or another, and most of those reviews
weren't even performed with final silicon. Everything said about what
the card is supposed to be able to do is *mere conjecture" until the
*** public at large has one in their collective hot little hands.
Anybody that has ever said "There's no such thing as a stupid question"
has most probably never read articles that spew out of most newsgroups.
I'll say it again - your question ranks right up there with the moronic
posts asking if a P2/450 with 128mb of RAM and a Voodoo2 card is
sufficient to run GPL...

Well, I'm not John, but I can answer this one: YES. I'm running a P2/400 with
64mb of RAM and a Voodoo2 card and I get EXCELLENT frame rate even in 800x600
with all textures on and up all the way in the detail bias.

Rhetorical questions are acceptable, but don't abuse them, or we'll
ban them also. Theoretical questions are completely unacceptable.
What if everyone just up and decided to post a theoretical question?
Chaos would ensue! We would like to avoid that, wouldn't we?
Now go do your research elsewhere, you buffoons, and leave usenet to
those of us who know the answers. We need the bandwidth for the
exchange of our personal opinions.
