I was wondering if someone can help me. me and my buddy have been
trying to connect via modem and we been running into some problems. who
ever is dialing gets locked out of the races. it comes up to the setup
screen the other guy hit race and actually goes into the race but the
dialer is stuck out in the race setup screen. any ideas? were both
using sporster 28.8 getting latencys of around .15

Just in case my first response didn't go through, what you should try is
to have the player answering set the field to 37. There's a bug that
will cause the dialers machine to hang if you try to race against 39
drivers on a track that allows that many.Good luck

Chances are you were trying to race on a track that allows 39 drivers.
There's a bug in the game that will cause the dialers machine to hang if
you try to race with 39 drivers, so whoever is answering should set the
field for 37, see if this helps. Good luck
