I recently bought a new modem for use with nascar 2 and wanted to try it out
with some friends using nascar 2, but when i went into setup under multiplayer
it would only let me select com1 and com3. My modem is on com 2. Could
someone please help me i am desperate

N2 is actually a dos game running in windows. Some plug and play modems
have trouble with dos. Look to see if your modem has jumpers on it. If it
does, go in and set them for Com2, Irq3.
N2 will see it fine then.
