I tried them for about the first 20 laps and found them too
distracting.  Now that I've gotten a better feel for the sim
I'll try turning them back on.

I think the arms are very cool!  They react VERY fast :)

The arms RULE!  Hope they add some more hand gestures in the real sim for a little
"Remote-Ridicule" if you know what I mean!!

I tried without them, but found the void between me and the dash to look very
silly. I like using them, they  react very fast, and I've finally found a sim
that I can manually shift without crashing! I love it!

I tried both and much prefer the arms/wheel.
Papy were s-o-o-o right about this.

I don't hate them by any means.  But after trying to drive with the
arms on again last night, I still found them too distracting and
turned them back off.

Are the arms supposed to move _exactly_ according to your control
inputs?  If that's the case I don't see any advantage to them.  If
on the other hand, they do something different during oversteering
or other conditions, then they might be worth using.

I guess I'm just too used to driving without arms on the screen.
The wheel on the screen turns at a greater angle than my steering
wheel, and  I find that especially disorienting!

LOL. I was thinking about this the other day and realised how good it
would be in multiplay to go past someone and to look at each other as
you did and give them the finger :)

I'd like what is known as "The Frentzen Finger", thanks to Heinz
Harald Frentzen's "friendly wave" being beautifully captured live
around the world from his in-car camera! It happens all the time in
races, but generally not broadcast to tens of millions of people :-)

Cheers!

How do you turn the arms off?

Can we turn off the wheel AND arms, so all I see is the***pit and
the road ahead of me?

Marc.

Hi Edwin,

I can't stand them....
I already see my arms on my wheel, so seeing a 2nd pair makes me feel
as if I was some kinda octopus :-))

Hi guys

I`m with you on this one Franck, tried them, didn`t like them, switched
them off, although I can imagine that if I drove with a joystick I would
have them on

BTW, I like the joystick routine here, it allows me to use CH pedals
with Nascar PRO wheel in a Win95 game even though I can`t get Win95 to
recognice this combo, this is another one in a fine tradition from Papy,
THX

Beers and cheers
