I'd vote for it.  We have seat belt laws, too - nevermind what the movies/TV

Whoa...I guess that experience *would* scare me.   But when I drove a company
vehicle with a hands-free system, it didn't bother me.  It was sort of like I
was talking to someone in the car with me.  It wasn't a distraction at all.

I think the people that crash while using a cell phone just have an
inability to do more than one thing at a time.  People have been talking for
decades while driving.  Truck drivers most of all using CB radios.  I don't
know what the statistics are of accidents for commercial drivers, but I know
in the 7 years I spent doing it I drove more miles that I would have in
almost 40 years of normal driving and never once had an accident.

Nah, the holiday parades are MUCH too slow.  Let them run over 150mph, than
I'll watch...<g>

It's funny - I was driving home from work yesterday in a sudden snowstorm.  A
customer/friend of mine called my cell phone, and I answered it.  I was talking
to him while watching the results of multiple idiots spun off on the side of
the road.  I even watched the 18-wheeler in front of me start to slide(he
stopped in time), but *I* wasn't worried.  I had already left enough rome to
safely stop.  I think people tailgating on icy roads is pretty damn stupid.
THAT"S what causes problems - tailgating in general.  People drive like they're
going into turn 1 on VROC, and not leaving enough room...

I did a complete trip from Norfolk to DC like that once.  No Cell phone
either.

180 miles and 3 hours went by.  When I pulled up to the house, I realized
that I didn't remember the trip.

I think Truckers have a name for this deal...  White Line Fever or something
like that.

What we need are Cell Phones that are engineered with some sort of respect
to a Human Interface incorporated.

Anyone here use a Nextel 1000+ ?

SHEESH!

This is the most ergonomically challanged piece of electronics I have EVER
seen.  They could not possible have made it any harder to perform even the
simplest functions.

This is the most bass-ackwards piece of electronics JUNK I have ever seen.
