Hey Sjeorrd, I'll give you an American dollar if you put on you wooden
shoes and stand over by that flower patch so I can take your picture.
Ooh! Here comes a big, bad German! You better go hide under the table

That's funny.  Most Brits insist that the language used in the US is debased at
best, unintelligible at worst.  I've learned to take that with a grain of salt as it
is coming from a group that would gladly mug each other while professing a love for
a 'football club'.  Particularly when sport in question is soccer....

No no, Americans care about cars that are "wrecked" when they lose
paint...

In Australia there is a $120 fine and a loss of points from your licence if
caught using a cell-phone while driving - Then again, we've had compulsory
seat belts since 1976 and we still don't see anyone in American movies/TV
wearing them.
Now all we need is the same (cell-phone) rule for people smoking while
driving

Hehehe.. that's what Icelandic people say too. :)  Once you spend a
week in Iceland you go "Wow!  This place freaking rocks!!!!  Why isn't
everyone here?"

And the Icelander's will say "We like it quiet.. so let's keep it that
way." :)

Ahhh.. the soccer/football argument. :)

Well... soccer is clearly "football" in any language.  American
football should change its name to "TackleBall" or "American Rugby" or
even "WarBall" but not Football!

A player in American Football touches the ball with his foot maybe 5%
of the entire game.. MAYBE!  "Soccer" doesn't represent the game at
all.  I guess that's the great Americanism.. call two sports the
completely wrong name while taking the true name from one and giving
it to the other.

Almost like calling racing "walking" and then calling walking
"Buddledeedoo."
