If you backed up & restored your gpl folder (or just your player.ini) check
that it's not set to read-only. If you copied it from a CD it probably will
be.
If you have done a fresh install & just want to keep your PB's, then I'm
pretty sure the player.ini is all you need. Just create a driver profile,
exit gpl & replace your newly created player.ini with the old one. There are
a few other settings that you may want to keep from the new one, but nothing
vital.

Did you reinstall GPL from a cdrom backup? If so your files are probably
all set to 'read only'
A quick reminder for everyone thinking about backing up programs, Always
use a compression program like Winzip or Winrar to preserve the program
without getting the read only bit set. Zip up the whole GPL folder, then
back it up onto a cdrom.

I thought the GPL rank page allowed you to create an INI file using all the
times that went into your rank in the first place. I could be wrong, but it
might be worth checking.
