Being a fan of longer races, I wonder if there should have been a way to
re-join a race if you disconnected for some reason. After all, is it
possible to avoid this happening 100%?
Now, I'm no programming wiz, so I don't know how GPL is built (how
uncommon), but what if;
If you got disco'd, GPL would just pop back to the race screen, write a log
file of sorts describing the vital stats; where you were on the track, how
many laps, sort of taking a status "screenshot". Then you would have an
option to try and rejoin. If you did, GPL would take this as a shift-R, and
place you back where you left off, minus the progress at the server's race,
by sending the "log" to the server. This could of course be maxed at say 2-3
rejoins

A silly idea? Perhaps...but I hate the idea of running a GP, and everything
goes bad when there's 5 laps to go!

Well, seemed a reasonable idea at time of writing:)

1.1, wherever it may be, will fix this matt.

actually you might not want cars poping up in the middle of the track, so
restarting from the pits may be better, and it could be simulated that you
had a mechanical breakdown, better yet if you do discopnnect the AI could
limp it back to the pits for you.

Hope so:)
Anyway, I think the "track is not clear" gizmo would allow for this?
