.... until I get a better system.  ;)

Hi, guys!  Looking forward to getting back into racing, am happy to be
seeing all the familiar names..... Cliffy, Frankie, John, Eric B..

I've been hopelessly ***ed to a different type of sim, WWIIO.  There's a
few of us from this group that are playing that with me nightly.  If that
game didn't make me buy a better system, the next NASCAR title surely will.

It honestly is not that much different than N4 when it comes to frame rates.
Just a matter of getting your settings correct.

Nice to see ya Tom!

Btw, did you see the new #99 paint scheme?

Yes, MoH has a LOT of potential.   It looks alot better then the DoD mod,
IMO.

Private Ryan :)

If you can play WWIIOL and N4 you can play N4 2k2. Not much of an fps hit.

WWII Online was fun. I have it, but don't feel like paying for it :) I
bought it in June knowing there would be no good summer releases in racing
sims. My friend got it too and we had many late summer nights playing it.
Pretty fun, but by the time they made us pay, I hadn't played the game for
about a month (school and new racing sims) so I dont plan on paying for it
now.

Thanks,
Alex

Why are so many people reporting low rates, then?  Presumably, they are
running N4 and NR2002 on the same machines, so video card settings shouldn't
be an issue?

I haven't!  Wow, didn't know there would be, the last was so cool!

No kidding, Cliff, since 1.4 of WWIIO, I've been able to do nothing else,
haven't bought a game since last July, and am not worried about it.
Tonight, I was in a battle for a city where I could see at least 40 of my
squad members spread out, and saw tracers & enemy units all over the place.
WWIIO is the most intense *** experience I've ever had.

Hoping NASCAR 2002 will rival it!  Bear in mind, we are talking apples
& oranges here, but.....  man, from a "sim" perspective, WWIIO has got it
nailed!

I think it's OS related myself.  Everyone I know who's using 98 has the
same rates.   Other OS's are producing both same and worse.
Not sure, but that's my guess.
