Of course you can.  The races start at 4pm EST on Saturdays. We meet in the
East Alpha 9 foyer before and after the race.  The server is called epickett
and the password is ras. As long as you know about the races you are welcome
to race, wreckers excluded of course :)

Please let us know what car number you want to use so we can add it to the
RASCAR roster and if you have a car file uplaod it to the RASCAR forum at
RSC.

In the land of those thinking they'd better take one of the higher numbers
that are not of that much interest to the average Nascar fan, to increase
their chances of actually getting that number in Sierra.com races? ;-)

*** it, I'm tired of talking about realistic paint schemes (it might
just be that I'm in a foul mood right now).  All I ask is that you make
your damn cars identifiable on the track - put the number on the back
and on the sides.

Can a lurker get in on the RASCAR races?

by btgos » Mon, 29 Apr 2002 08:45:44

Missed the race today...had nice weather and a "honey-do" list a mile long.
Sounds like I missed the Busch race at Dega' last week. Well these things
are going to happen.
Two things... I wanted 14, but Mike got there first so he can have it...
although I think he would have rather run 61, and since Rotterdam is upstate
NY..that car would be big orange? Am I right Mike?
West Babylon is on Long Island.....wait for the cringe.... ok... All we have
down here is Riverhead...so I go travelling to see most of my races during
the year...

I had no idea we had to keep two digit numbers. Three digit numbers are a
short track tradition, but there have been many famous three digit numbers
in NASCAR.... they started making people run single or double digits when
they started adding scoreboards to the sport...to make it more like the
stick and ball sports.
So if three digits are discouraged...I will check the list and pick another
number...

It was the number my father ran in his driving days at Freeport....

I do want to race with this group, so I will meet any standards you guys
set.

I also think people should but their number and callsign on the back of the
car... makes Bristol apologies so much easier. :)
