Just what exactly are the differences between the Intermediate
(short/long), Pro (short/long), and Grand prix race modes? According to
the setup screen, the damage model and laps are the only things
changed. The instruction manual doesn't mention much of this.

So far I've noticed that Novice has a more limited engine, Intermediate
allows car resets and advanced damage model, and grand prix has
realistic damage model. Are there any other differences between these
race types?
