GPL BRM HELP

Oh, no! I just carefully downloaded the latest BRM carset from GPLEA,
and now when I try to roll any car, it crashes back to sesktop! I
loaded a backup copy of GPL from a backup CD, but it does the same
thing. Then loaded a backup copy from HD, same thing! Each time, I
renamed the by-pass copies to avoid interference - no help.I'm out of
ideas, Do I have to re-install GPL? Thanx, Sam

It's the BRM files themselves.  I had the same thing happening.  Just
delete everything but the brm.dat file in the brm folder, and put some other
version in, even the stock one if you want.

Then things will work fine.  Strange thing is, you can go on any track via
training mode with it, but once you try a race, poof.  Must be tied to an
AI/another human car having one I guess.

Thanks, tried that, no joy. Even swapped GPL exe, swapped older BRM
stuff, nothing worked. I think my prob was a little different from
yours, as I couldn't roll any car in training mode either. There must
be some file in GPL somewhere which was boogered by the BRM, and it's
still boogered. I can't find it. I guess I'll have to go to full
re-install. Thanx, Sam
