DOS-Mode for GP2

Is it adequate to drop to MS-DOS mode, using a custom
CONFIG.SYS and AUTOEXEC.BAT with DOS drivers, to get
the most out of DOS games like GP2, ICR2 and Rally
Championship?  Or should I create a boot disk?  Or
perhaps even a dual booting machine?
I like the convenience of simply going to MS-DOS mode
when I want to play, rather than rummaging around for a
floppy.

Confused...

If you are talking about doing this via the Shortcut Properties Advanced
button, yes this is the same as creating boot floppies. In fact this feature
eliminates the need for boot floppies, as you are booting into DOS.

There is no need for a boot-disk in Windows95.  Just set it up to drop to
DOS Mode and it's fine.  It reboots to DOS without a boot-disk.
