NR1999 multiplayer

A friend and I both copied our car set from N2 to NR1999.  When we connect
it will not put us in the right cars.   His is the host computer, and with
most of the combinations we have tried he sees us in the right cars.  On my
machine, depending on how I have our cars in the multi list, I see us both
in the same car.  The way we had it worked right in N2, was just wondering
if anybody else has had this problem, and if so, how did you fix it?  The
manual doesn't go into any detail on this, do the car files have to be
named T_player and T-playe2 like the original multi list had them?

Thanks in advance,
Dave

Oh yeah, Papyrus did an excellent job with this upgrade, I really like the
way the AI cars race you now, they don't just give up when you attempt to
pass them, etc.  Now, if we can do something about the crappy starts and
restarts......

Yes I also found that this was screwed. Also you must have the entire
field of 39 computer cars. I previously had a custom MULTI list with
10 computer drone cars and to colored normal cars for me and my
friend. I decided that it was easier to just live with being Player_1
or Player_2. I use F2 to keep track of where he is so it wasn't that
big of a deal for me.
