BTW, did anyone here attend Sunday's BGN race in Homestead? I, a fan of
racing, flew down there to meet drivers and watch racing just like thousands
of other spectators. I stood outside of DE Jr's truck in the garage area for
about 45 minutes with about a hundred others to get a glimpse of the champ,
well he's a ***. He stormed out of his truck with his head down and
security guards shoved their way through the very crowd that puts the money
into his pockets without signing a damn autograph or acknowledging any fans
yelling his name. Totally classless, like his old man. It reminded me a rock
star leaving a concert to jump into a limo. Who does he think he is. That
garbage will lose fans in a hurry, I for one. I overheard others saying
"who the f**ck does he think he is, Elvis". On the other hand, here comes
Mark Martin, walking through the garage signing everything handed to him,
even my hat. And look, there's Randy LaJoy, he's interacting with fans too.
And wait, Jeff Burton,*** Trickle, Patty Moise, Matt Kenseth, Ken
Schrader, Casey Atwood, Jimmie Spencer....well you get the point. The guys
must have had writers cramp with all the ***they signed. But not spoiled
little E. It's a fact, you don't shit on the people paying you, right?
Well, I just wanted to know if anyone has experienced his presence or
lack-thereof.
Other than that, it was a great race to witness. Can't wait for the Cup race
next year.
