I had they same problem until I d/l'd "drvpack.zip". Unfortunately, I
don't have the link anymore, though Hacked
Speed(http://www.racesimcentral.net/) also has a Banshee fix on their
utilities page. Only problem is I can never get anything to d/l from
their page (I use Netscape 4.5), I always get an FTP error. BTW, I'm
using Creative Labs Voodoo Banshee.

NFS3: Voodoo2 Banshee

Hi,

I was trying to re-install NFS3 to my system.

When I tried to start the game, it crashed. If I disabled hardware
acceleration, it worked, but the mouse was malfunctioning in the menus.

Before I got a Voodoo2 Banshee card, the game used to work fine.

Does anyone have a clue how to solve this problem?

Thanks in advance,
Han.

Make a shortcut for NFS3.EXE
Add the -d3d0 parameter to the command line (in the shortcut).
Don't allow the CD Autorun to run the game. Always use the shortcut.

This is a problem for VOODOO2 chip (which Banshee is based on).
