It is not Id, ID, iD, or anything with periods
IT IS: id (2 lowercase letters & rhymes with "did")

Crossing my fingers and hoping NFS3 is not yet another disappointment
like NFS2...NFS2SE...TD4...

All these companies have to do to get it right, is look at Need For Speed 1
and Test Drive 2 - The Duel. Both are excellent examples of fun arcade
racers with just enough sim elements to keep us coming back to try and
beat our best times.

Add to these 3dfx graphics and some decent controller configs... give us
some decently varied choice on car models, tracks ..especially STAGED
courses and tada... they would have a hit on their hands.

But then again I said the same thing when NFS2 came out <sigh>

Cheers.

Don't forget a dashboard view.. moving between NFS1 and NFS2:SE it's really
glaring.  The steering wheel view adds a lot.  Also w/ fingers crossed for
NFS3.

Did you know, Mame32 .29b lets you play 258 classic arcade games code on
your PC? Why not try it out at www.davesclassics.com or
http://208.8.142.105/mame/

I agree 100%  It is not a complicated formula--why can't they just build on
what is already good and quit trying to "improve" things.

NFS3 will kick with Supercops!

Hi all, when EA called for ideas for NFS2 I suggested (amongst other things)
more of a bias towards muscle cars, as opposed to sports cars. Sure having
the option to drive the latest and fastest super cars is fun, but the beauty
of NFS was how the 911 and the Viper were very noticeably different.
Wouldn't it be great if NFS3 contained older "classic" muslce cars. Maybe
even some from around the world, not just America. For example, from
Australia we could have the brutist grunt of the Ford GT-HO Falcon (made in
the 70s and still the fastest aussie sedan EVER built), or the agility of
the Holden GTR-XU1 (126mile/h six cylinder). From the UK we could have the
E-Type jaguar, the Mazda RX3 from Japan (13B Rotary engine - early
70s)....even the Yank's Daytona - you know, the one with the looong body and
the huge rear wing....

Anyway, if your sick of super cars that may as well have been invented by
the programmers let 'em know! Here my vote.

Oh yeah, another idea...why not be able to just drive around...(like you can
in carmageddon) even have working petrol stations and garages and speed
shops.

Have a great new year every body!

If this game has cops that also means  that it has staged courses,
becasue I don't think there where cops on the circuits in nfs where
there?

That would be nice, but there isn't one.. the only 3dfx treatment you can
get on the NFS series is NFS2:SE, a commercial package.  Screamer 2 now has
a patch though fwiw.

It's what happens when you take arcade machine code and
run it on your PC: Mame32 .29 - 258 classics from 1978-1989
Get it at www.davesclassics.com & http://208.8.142.105/mame/
