Zmodeler will export .mts files in F1 2001 format, which can be compiled
into F1 2002 .mas files and so can be used in F1 2002.
However, the GTR 2002 mod uses F1 2002 format .mts files, which are a
superior format to the F1 2001 .mts. Only the Simbin (and RSDG?) teams
appear to have the 2002 .mts exporter (3ds max plugin) and for reasons
unknown they're not sharing it with the rest of us. :0(
If an F1 2002 .mts importer exists, then whoever has it is keeping very very
quiet about it. :0)
Wow, I would guess then that Locutus would be the person at the point - as
he was the one who created MAS Studio 2002. It would be nice if they would
release the tools to the community so we could work on custom cars, etc. I
PM'd Locutus at Simbin about it, but I'm sure there have been many others
before me with this request...

Locutus has said that he has not completed a zModeler plug-in for the latest
game because zMod won't support some of the features necessary for F1 2002
.mts files. No one outside ISI has a 3ds max plug-in - it's been debated so
many times, but that's the accepted facts. That apparently doesn't stop
anyone from disbelieving it, apparently...
Everything done by SBDT has been done with materials and tools available to
all of us, with the exception of a track exporter that they was loaned to
them - conditionally - by ISI. Work with the F1 2001 files, and they'll
work fine.
