Should be:

I'd be dead sarcastic if I could type

Doesn't seem like it would be that difficult and would certainly add to
the immersion. I tried the Castrol Honda demo with my wheel. It worked
OK but seemed a little weird. Also if I remember, it seemed a wheel
required a little (a lot?) more rotation than is needed with handle
bars to get a bike to change direction.
At the risk of restarting that endless thread about how a bike turns at
speed, it would be nice to have a bar with stiff resistance that allowed
a little opposite nudge to get the bike to heel over.

Danny,
The 'download' in question is an illegal copy posted on a warez site.
Whether it is the final version I am not sure.
I'm not going to get into the morals of warez. However, I understand this to
be an honest newsgroup that aims to be informative & helpful to auto sim
enthusiasts. To the extent that employees from the developers of the said
sims also partake & use the newsgroup for valuable feedback. Some even link
& refer to RAS.
Referring to obtaining illegal copies of software IMHO goes against the
basic aims of this newsgroup, and undermines the relationship between the
enthusiasts & developers.
You will find others will be less polite in dismissing posts referring to
obtaining warez versions on this group.
I believe yours to be an innocent post enquiring how to get hold of a
perceived demo copy, but prepare to be flamed.
Cheers

Thanks for that! I myself actually tried to add a "where is it?" post here.
I guess I'm fortunate that for some reason it didn't make it.
I had no idea was "warez" referred to. Being a developer myself, I
wholeheartedly agree with your statement that "obtaining illegal copies of
software IMHO goes against the basic aims of this newsgroup, and undermines
the relationship between the enthusiasts & developers."
See you tomorrow at The Glen!

There might be a warez version out there but if you want the legit version
go to the vault! Might take me all day to get it a 56k though since it's
47MB.
