Thirty ott Six...think rifle..think hunting rifle with a big ass scope.
Think of a bullet that can take down a large deer.  Think of pointing that
big ass scope at the offending computer and stopping the menu music ONCE and
FOR ALL TIME.

And as a side effect it leaves you with a good excuse to upgrade.

Kevin,

Check around, there's a patch that disables that music.  I can't recall
where it is, but you might try--
http://www.f1-star.de/

It's a long process with these editors and stuff, but it's well worth it.
That menu music is still runnin' in my head, and I got rid of it at least a
month ago.

If you're having problems, let me know.  I can send you the sound file that
disabled the menu music.  It might be large, but with cable it should go
pretty quickly.

But check that site.  It's a good one and I'm sure they have the sound
patch.  You might have to get an editor there too and do some exporting and
importing.

G'Day Glenn,

The "short" answer is you CAN'T.........there is NO option to turn it off.
You need to replace these 2 files: MenuSnd1.mfd
                                               MenuSnd2.mfd
these are located in the DataBin Dir.........both files need to have their
volume lowered......to a point were you can't hear any audio on full
volume.........use Windows sound recorder or similar program to do this.

Any probs mail me :))

 uhhhh...I don't understand your re............nawwwwwww.  :)   Thats
right...see we are from the same country as one of the most marvelous
inventions ever...Gallagher's Sledge O Matic.  Take one cranky PC and place
it on the patened pie pan.  And don'tcha wanna know what happens next?  Of
course you do!  You take the Sledge O Matic (a product of Fly by Night
Industries), swing it over your head and BAM! the PC is gone!  Then you have
to Sledge O Matic just about everything else in your house, including fruits
and veggies and condiments(that stuff they french made for hamburgers) noisy
toys...you name it...the Sledge O Matic can make it all disappear.

Sledge O Matic? Now that sounds more my style. Although I did once
chuck an Estwing 24oz claw hammer at the TV. Got it too.

Cheers, Glenn
