I have a cable modem, but GPL only gives me the option to use my serial
port or modem.  This happens regardless of whether I'm connected to the
Internet or not.  I would think that it would at least see my NIC, but it
does not.  Does anyone know how to resolve this problem?

Thanks in advance,

Do you have "Host" selected or "Join"?

Hi Rob,

You have to make a core.ini file in your GPL directory and
fill it with an alternate_ip_lookup_thingy entry.

Open the README file in the GPL directory and search for core.ini
or cable.   The table of contents should point you to cable-modems
as well.

Jason.
