What's going to happen to Hawaii when NASCAR 2 comes out? Since some of the
tracks are changing , it seems likely you won't be able to run NASCAR 2 on
the current servers, nor could someone with the current MULTI compete on a
server running code for NASCAR 2.

Will there be a period of time when <gasp> Hawaii will be shut down? Or
will we continue to use MULTI until NRL goes public?

There will be a transition phase where NRL & Hawaii are run
concurrently.  There may also be a period of time where NCR 2 will be
run on Hawaii (no promises!!!!!).

However, you're right.  You will not be able to use NCR 1.x / MULTI on
NRL.
