Official F1 Racing....rather dissapointing

I just picked this title up from Wal Mart last night for 20 bucks, figuring
since it was 40 at CompUSA i thought it was a good deal.  Turned out that the
game isnt worth much more than 20 bucks.  It has great graphics and the tracks
have the right shape...but the physics pale in comparison with almost every
other sim i own.  The car is WAY to responsive at high speeds...i move the
wheel so much as a centimeter and the car veers sharply to the right/left.  I
mean is this how F1 cars really handle?  I should think not cause according to
this game its like driving a go-kart with wings.  Ill probably keep the game
since the graphics are nice and if i can get past the poor physics model it
might be enjoyable.  And yes i am driving in the Simulation mode with all aids
off (except auto gears) and at the expert level.  I also dont really like the
way the elevation changes in the tracks are.  The worst is the "jolting" effect
i seem to get when i com onto the front straight at Argentina.  That first rise
just seems to pop the car up.  Anyone else have experiance these faults?  Or am
i the only one who doesnt really like it?

Have you tried hitting the   alt+s while in the game that gives you
differant steering senstivity..
try softening the suspension some if it is jolting ya.
The game really works great multiplayer also, stop by here:

Ok after another 2 hours playing this game i have to revise my previous post.
This is a descent game is u change some options (ie. steering sensitivity, car
catagory, etc).  Its not GPL but then again its not Papy.  I guess I had
expectations higher than what should be expected from a virtual unheard of name
in Sim Racing (Eidos hasnt made much have they?)  Ive yet to try mulitplayer
but i think it could be fun.  The tracks still seem a little off but ive been
driving GP2 for almost 3 years now and im used to those tracks.  Maybe im just
imagining things on that.  So to revise my previous post i have to upgrade this
sim from a C- to a B+.  Not perfect but good.  The rain effects are pretty
awesome too...u really gotta know the course if u wanna survive in the fog :)

You're not the only one.

I'm not too keen on Official Formula 1 Racing. Whilst it doesn't
strike me as anything bad, there's nothing GOOD in there either.

I'm not comfortable with the physics of the car, and even the graphics
are a bit too shiny.

Still enjoyable for a quick race however, but can't compete with the
likes of SCGT or GPL.
