GPL/Momo (Different than usual) Question

GPL/Momo (Different than usual) Question

by Mark Robert » Wed, 09 Oct 2002 06:45:34

I have a Logitech Momo wheel that I'm struggling to get working right in
GPL.  The FF is great (all the advice here to others has been quite
helpful!), but I can't get the bottom two buttons on the wheel to work in
the game (the two white buttons).  I have them set as clutch and as a shift
button using the newest Wingman software and they work fine there and in the
'Game Controllers' section of Windows, but when I fire up GPL I don't get
anything.  I've tried changing them to other things (look left, etc.) but
they just are never recognized in GPL.  This is true regardless of if I
start GPL through the Wingman software or through the GPL shortcut.

My system:

GPL 1.2, d3d patch, etc.
Intel 1.8
TB Santa Cruz
256meg
Wingman 4.20

Any advice?  TIA!

Have you tried not assigning them on the profiler and assigning them
within GPL?

go here and get the latest driver
http://www.wingmanteam.com/latest_software/latest_soft_main.htm

I see there's a fix for the missing buttons.

Good Luck

GPL/Momo (Different than usual) Question

I did try assigning them within GPL, but then I lose the 'shift' features
that you get within the profiler.  But thanks for the idea.  And for
87redvette, I am already using that version of profiler but again, it was a
good idea.  I'm going to just try reinstalling GPL and see if that helps at
all.  I was kinda hoping that maybe some of you other Momo users had
stumbled across this issue before!  :-)

Thanks for the thoughts.
