Anyone know why GPL contains the '67 Ferrari but doesn't mention it in the
manual or gameguide?.

  yes...

ok...I'll tell ya why....Legal battles.  Originaly Ferrari was NOT going to
be involved with GPL.  For whatever reason they declined, at first, to
participate.  So the manual got printed without any Ferari mentions...but
before they finished they managed to get the participation of the Prancing
Horse.  You may also note the teams of Honda and Cooper were not
included..those where covered by the Murasama and Coventry team names.
Same reason...licensing

Just had a look & you're right, in 4-wheel drift it covers the Lotus, Eagle,
Brabham and BRM, then glosses over the Coventry & Murasama, but I don't see
anything about the Ferrari.

I've never really been a fan of the Ferrari in GPL, I prefer the Cooper or
Lotus, but if you are looking for a bit of background then
http://forum.racesimcentral.com/forumdisplay.php?s=&forumid=36

would be a great place to start, or http://www.ferrari.com/ of course ;-)

I'm sure Steve will be along shortly ;-)

I think it was a late inclusion due to the granting of a license.

You can find the full story here in Steve's write-up about "The
Mystery Of The Missing Marque" on Alison Hine's site:
