I've been (and still am) one of the Ferraristi, and not a Ferrari-fan.
That's because the love for Ferrari is in my heart, and not in my head!
So it can't go away :-)

Just interested in knowing if many of you drive the Ferrari exclusively
like I do. Besides the absolutely gorgeous sound of that V12 sceaming,
well.... it's a Ferrari :)) I've put in 50-75 laps at all the tracks (and
many, many more at some) with it and feel I'm learning it's temperment in
most cases. The depressing thing is that it seems outclassed by the Lotus
and Eagle enough to have me wondering the feasibility of winning many races
with it. Unless of course the sim models the fact that the Lotus and Eagle
are somewhat prone to things breaking, then I can always hope to grind it
out with the BT24s :) I'll be the first to admit, I haven't spent a vast
amount of time in the garage setting it up. But the first 10 laps I did at
Monza in the Lotus just for kicks, I ran a 1:30.25. My best time ever in the
Ferrari is 1:32.21. And I've run alot of laps at Monza with it :)
Something else on my mind lately...is Dave Kaemmer on performance
enhancing chemicals? BTW, that's a joke. I've watched his replay of a hotlap
at Spa. 3:20.34. Jeminy Christmas, I've run what I *thought* was flat out in
Big Red and did 3.33.56. Back to the drawing board :) Besides the fact that
Mr. Kaemmer is one hell of a good driver,(not too bad at doing sims
either:)) this seems another example of being outdone by the Lotus.
Hmm...green cars are beginning to look more appealing!
One other thing. While I was crashing at Rouen the other day, I saw
something that I couldn't figure out. At Scierie there is a row of those
damned half sunk tires and a Pepsi sign. To the right of the Pespi sign
there are two shady looking members of the crowd. The long haired guy on the
right has a picture on his shirt that could either be the head of a Chow
Chow dog or something else entirely, what, I don't know. I can't decide
which :)) I won't be able to concentrate at this track until a consensus is
met or someone a Papy gives the final word :)
Have fun and go fast.

My girlfriend came in the room to scream about the neighbors cars making soo
much noise!
Much to her suprise, it was a computer game.
The Ferrari sound even made an impression on her and she just doesn't get it
when I ramble on about the awesome sounds cars can make.

Oh, and the first thing to do in a setup is lower the car, it makes
the braking so much better (I gained 3 seconds at monaco simply by
lowering the car :)

The Ferrari can run sub 3:25s at Spa too. I've had Lotus down to the
3:20s and Ferrari down to 3:22, so there is a difference but not as
big as you might think.
Cheers!

The first turn is possible flat although in race trim I lift gently to
get the front to bite and reduce the risk of running wide on the exit.
For the second I brake smoothly right at the start of the skid marks,
down to third (with Lotus, fourth with Ferrari) and take a little
grass at the apex. Exit speed is really important bacause of the long
uphill run right afterwards.
Cheers!
