Nascar99 and Voodoo3 - Your opinion.

Has someone had the chance to play NR99 with a Voodoo3 yet? The reason
why I was asking is because I have a new Gateway Celeron 433,128 meg,19"
monitor etc. system coming in a week with a Voodoo3 on hold and am
looking forward to playing NR99. Is anyone getting any slowdowns in
framerates with a system close to this? How is the performance of NR
with a system thats camparible?

Thanks for your input!

If you're wondering about framerate, then you have absolutely nothing to worry
about........I have a P1 166mhz with 32 ram (I know, my computer's a monster)
and no 3d card, and I run Nr1999 great. Your card will be awesome. Let me know
if it works though, cause I'm thinking about getting a V3 soon.

There's a difference though between no 3d card and 3dfx cards.  However,
it shouldn't be a problem with him, though the Celery 433 might be a bit
less than say if it was a 300 P2

The Voodoo3 really needs a high-powered CPU, above 300mhz,  to realize
much of an improvement over a Voodoo2.  If you're planning to stick
with the 166, you'd be better off to go with a Voodoo2, which you
should start seeing for dirt cheap.
