Problem with SBK Championship

Does anyone know how to get EA's SBK Championship to load using a Voodoo 3?

I got the game a week ago and am dying to play it but when I double click
the icon the hard drive goes on for about 30 seconds and then stops and
nothing happens at all.  EA don't seem to want to help now they've taken my
money so I'd appreciate it if someone could help.

Many thanks

p.s. Is there a patch?

I heard it will only work at 640x480 with the V3's, if at all.  Try setting
your desktop to 640x480 then start the game.  I forget if there is a setup
program, but if there is just tell the game to use 640x480.

Also update your drivers for the Voodoo3. If you are using Quake 3
compatible drivers, get rid of them and use the reference drivers.
