Which sound card?

I am setting my Cyrix P166+ up for some serious GP2 racing.  My current
Turtle Beach Multisound card is not supported, so out it goes...

What is a good replacement?  Is it satisfactory to hook up a
Thrustmaster T2 to the game port on a sound card, or should I expect to
pay for a separate card?

Keith.

I would recommend you get a Sound Blaster 16 or AWE 32/64. The reason :
compatibility. My SB16 has done me great service. All games recognise and
work with it. Avoid 'SoundBlaster compatible' cards as they often give you
grief when they won't work with a particular game.

As the first thing I do in any game is turn off the music I don't need a
fancy card. Let's face it : the music in 99% of games sucks. Does Schuey
listen to tunes as he drives ??

I have been using a Thrustmaster T1 (predecessor of the T2, just a
different case) off the SB16 with absolutely no problems at all.
