The 'Ring is available for SCGT!!  The Nordschlief version, all 14.2 miles of
it!   Great conversion by GEETI.  Check at High Gear or Racesim Central for the
link.

I want it so bad.  I've always wanted to drive a GT car there but SCGT
doesn't support multiple game devices.  Darn.  I hope they release the
version for F1 2002 in time for the GT 2002 mod.   That would make my
day.  Until then I have to drive it in GPL.....

I see the message board thread about it but I can't find a link to
download it (at racesimcentral.com) Any help would be appreciated.

Chances are it will be released soon for Racer as well.

I haven't posted here before, but I have to say THANK YOU for the
Nurburgring track.

I had the opportunity to spend a day driving on the Northern Loop
three months ago, and it was an unforgettable, thrilling experience.
Your track brings back these memories!

Whoa...I haven't played SCGT for AGES, but this might get me to re-load it...
How do the AI cars handle the track?

About as well as any SCGT track.  They are fine til they get bottled up,
then they wiggle so much looking for a line to pass they swap ends and off
they go.

Sounds like a lot of humans *I've* encountered in racing   ;)

(Hey, clean passing is an art.)

Unfortunately not. I'm going round hand doubling and placing the polys for
every turn, raising the kerbs, etc etc. Taking a hell of a long time, but I
think it'll be worth it.

So that's why you have been so quiet.  My 1st impression with SCGT was the
track was too easy!!!  And I still am not 100% on the layout at what used to
be the s/f straight.  If I understand the new layout, the gpl pits are
bypassed and you rejoin the old course at the end of th 2nd straight that
ran behind the pit garages.  I just haven't connected those 90 degree turns
with the end of the old '67 lap.

Dave, the start/finish area that you use in GPL was bulldozed years ago to
make way for the current F1 circuit. So the first two corners that you drive
in GPL (a left leading into the long long right hander, then a straight past
the back of the pits) don't exist any more.

The modern circuit turns right after the Hohenrain chicane (which is the
chicane right at the end of the GPL lap). This new right turn is called T13,
named after the grandstand (Tribune) next to it. Then you swing left into
Hatzenbach, same as you did in GPL.

Thanks...I had the general idea...still can't convince the ol brain pan
that I should be heading  that way yet..  I did take the shortcut before the
first carosel.....screeeech!
and there seems to be a green lake below the hedge lined downhill.
Now all I need to do is find some proper Viper engine files and a dash
for the 98(?) Red, White & Blue Oreca Viper.
