I don't know about anyone else but I can't set my car up to do
anything!!  I'm running consistant laps but consistantly slow.  Is
this something that comes with the more races you run in career mode??

Is there any setup guides or some help??  Love the game but man I
can't get my car to push some fast laps...just starting the career
mode and Daytona is already a tough track...for me anyways...

Any help is appricated...

Cheers!!

Try doing some R&D on a car and see if that helps your speeds any.  I've
only run 1 season in Career so far, and am up to Level 4 research on  a
SuperSpeedway car.

Though, often it's not the setup, but in how you drive.  I took some laps
around The Rock with the default race setup, and came within .200 of my lap
record in N3.  :-)

I must be doing something wrong then, I'm sure that I'm following the
same track line, but cant keep up.  The second track I did ok,
qualified well and passed alot of cars.. Las Vegas, that I can't seem
to figure out, sliding all over the place and very slow.  If you have
any tips or anything to help, like I said, love the game but just find
it a little fustrating....

Cheers!!

I'd give it more time.  I'm currently playing around with Daytona, and so
far I've only been able to reach 184 down the back straight, top time of
50.477 so far.  I'm sure there's more speed out there - I just don't know
where to pick it up from on the setup.

As far as Vegas, try braking down to approx 150 before entering T1, then
gradually get back on the gas through T2 so that you are fully mashed on it
by the time you exit.  I usually let off the gas just before T3 and let the
car coast halfway through before picking up the gas, again being fully down
on exit of T4, being on the bottom of the corners, of course.  :-)

If the AI has been programmed halfway decent, they'll take the preferred
line around the track every time.  You might want to take 'em down to 96 or
97% and try to follow 'em around for a few laps to see where they go, brake,
etc.

I don't have NT2004, but if it is at all realistic...

1.  Tuck in those front fenders.  You don't want them sticking out at a SS
race.
2.  GEARING GEARING GEARING!!!
3.  Make sure your setup is such that you can keep it down on the line
without pushing or bogging the motor.
4.  To go fast, your car must be neutral or even a tad loose.  No way around
that at the SS tracks.

If you are pushing, you will NOT go fast at Dega or Daytona.
