I really like this wheel and with the MX300 sound card, the force
feedback seems to have improved.  Anyway, in Nascar 1999, I cannot
select the paddles for shifting.  When I highlight shiftup or shiftdown
and then press a paddle there is NO response.

Any ideas?

Thanks

Use the profile for NASCAR 2 in the sidewinder profile activator, it comes
with the wheel.

Isn't the gameport on the MX300 digital? It was my understanding that
the MS FF Wheel wouldn't function (possibly the FF part?) on a digital
gameport, i.e. the PDPI...

Use the sidewinder profiler software to program PgUp and PgDn keys to your
paddles. Then, go into N99 and select Shift up and hit PgUp, SHift down and
select PgDn.

Hope that helps...

The MS wheel uses the MIDI port - same connector, different circuitry.

Anything I write in the morning right after I wake up shouldn't be
subjected to these tedious rules. I am lucky my brain works at all at that
time of day.  And no, since I am the boss, I am automatically right.

Good one.

As Sidewinder is a product name, shouldn't you write it with a capital S???
That should be very important for a business man like you, shouldn't it?

Sweet revenge... ;^)

Which is funny, since the wheel doesn't work with N2 :)

I wonder why it doesn't work on the PDPI L4, yet works on the MX300?
Just curious, anyone know?

In the MS Profile Editor do a "file open" and open the file for Nascar 2. It
has the paddle shifters and buttons already mapped. You can't activate the
paddles from within NR99 - they must be setup in a profile and mapped to the
keyboard.
