F1CS2000 scoring bug?

Has anyone noticed any inaccuracies in the points scoring while in
championship mode in F1CS2K?  I started a season and MS won in Aussie, he
then retired (a very unfortunate accident:-)) in Brazil with three laps to
go and was classified 20th yet when I went to the championship table he had
scored another 6 points and had a total of 16!!

Is it not only the powers that be in F1 who favour MS now?  Are computer
sims also weighed in his advantage?
