Can not go over 180 in F1CS2000

by Stuart Becktel » Sat, 13 Jan 2001 06:06:11

Hi,
I am having a very wierd problem in F1CS2000. When I accelerate through
1-3 it is normall fast speeds, once I hit 4th gear the engine starts to go
slower, going by only at 1 to 2 mph every couple of seconds.  I have tried
other cars, changing my controls, and recalibrating but none of this helps.
Where can I fix this, thanks in advance for any help that you can give me.

It sounds like a gearing problem.  Try loading the default "Speed" or
"Hockenhiem" setting to see if that works.

Could possibly be acontroller issue. I had a similar problem way back
when in GP2.

It turned out that my brake pedal spring was cracked but not yet
broken, so effectively I had a touch of brake on all the time
because the pedal wasn't springing all the way back when I took
my foot off.

I tried different gearing and that did not fix it, also, in the lower gears
the car accelerates fine so I am sure that that can not be the problem.

Check the wing settings in the car setup, try lowering them.
