it seems like when around 10 people are in your server, the rest of us cant
connect. We just sit in the rasf1 room waiting but nothing happens when we
click connect. it happens every time.

I had the same problem, but I suspect it's because the qual session had
started and locked us out... even though F1RST still showed it was in
practice session.

Eldred, let us know if you had a closed qual session and approx how long it
lasted before the race started.

Thanks.

Yes, I had a closed qual session.  I *know* the server will accept more than 10
drivers, because I've had 15-16 before.  I think we had about 13 last night.
Maybe F1RST still shows practice because it's expecting the standard 60 minute
practice session.  If I end practice early(as I usually do), maybe there's no
notification sent back to F1RST?
How do you get the standard practice session to be 20 minutes or so?  I haven't
found the right .ini file yet, I guess...

I think you set that in your .plr file, but you can also set in the session
options in the menu.

I must just be missing it.  I see where you can set the race length, but not
the practice length.

I just jumped into this thread, so I'm not sure if this is what you're
looking for.... but here goes.....

In the player.ini for the player that you are using as dedicated server
host.....

[Dedicated Server]
PracticeTime=90                          ; number of minutes of practice

Hope this helps. :)

Thanks.  I take it I have to add those lines, because they aren't there now.
Dammit, why the <expletive> isn't this explained in the manual, readme.txt,
whatever?!?  Geez, some software... :-(
How did YOU find that?   I've been looking through files for days...  Any other
tidbits you care to share(like how to get rid of the stupid server car...)?

Huh?  There should be a "[Dedicated Server]" section in your player ini
file.  I never added the lines (there are many in that section), as they
were in the ini by default.  Are you sure that you are looking at the
'player.ini' file, which is located in the Nascar2003/players/"my player
name"/ folder?
