Does someone out there know if these products are the same, and how do
they compare to T2 and TSW in terms of holdability/drivability?

Im from europe so these(this?) wheels turns out a lot cheaper than TSW.

As far as I am aware the Digital Edge is the new name for the GP500.

As a user of the Digital Edge I would thoroughly reccomend it.  The
build quality is superb and the whole package is built to last.  The
pedal box is heavy guage steel and highly adjustable for position and
pedal travel.  The wheel itself is leather bound and feels gorgeous.

The only gripe I have is the base is not very heavy but a couple of
small clamps at the front onto the desk and a monitor and or pile of
books on the back do just fine.  Having said this being able to take the
wheel on and off the base with the***things is great.

The F1 Sim is the mass produced version of what was the GP500. I don't
know if the original, hand made GP500 is available anymore.

As for durability, it sits comfortably higher than the T2 but somewhat
lower than the TSW. I've got a GP500 and am very happy with it but I've
also tried the TSW - the TSW is built like a tank and I doubt if it would
ever break <g>

I would say that if you can get the F1 Sim for less than the equivalent
of 200 UK pounds then it is the better buy than the TSW (taking into
account import duties and shipping for the TSW). But there again, if you
can afford the TSW I doubt if you would regret spending the extra amount.

Decisions, decisions..... <g>

Cheers,
Richard

I have the GP 500 as it was then, i dont know if the quality of the
mass produced F1 SIM by digital edge is the same or not, but i exspect
it is. If in doubt go to www.interactiveracing.com and mail Roger
Ball, as it's his baby, he should be able to tell you.
Apart from that the wheel itself is fantastic. As already said, real
wheel, paddles for gears , adjustable and customisible pedals made
from steel and based on Maclaren F1 car pedals, pots n all. It's the
only choice, go get one, you will not regret it. One thing i will say
it's important to get the right height for your wheel. mine is fitted
about 4 inches below the base of my monitor, i put a sliding shelf in
below desk so when i want to play i just slide out the board and bolt
the wheel on takes about 5 secs, slides away when im done.
If you have any more question feel free to mail me.
cheers

Yes they are the same, the GP500 has been renamed as the F1 Sim.
The original manufacturer of the GP500 (Interactive Racing) have now
licensed Digital Edge to make the F1 Sim.

BTW, it's a great product, BUT ONE TODAY!!!!!
