setups, one of these 2, (I can never remember which one sorry), is capable
of running 156's very consistently with minor adjustment to cross-weight for
weather condidtions.
A quick lap: braking into turn 1, I slow the car to 145 and let her drift
up a lane or so. Mash back on the throttle right when the car stops drifting
high, this must be done before the speed drops below 138, with power back
on, car tends to loosen up and drop to the bottom of the track in turn 2,
watch that apron!
Back straight....go fast. I dont even use the breaks going into turn 3,
maybe just a tap to settle the car. Left side tires onthe white line at
147-148 mph. Any slower will kill you, dont let it drop under 145, no matter
what. Keep it at 147 thru 3 and well into turn 4. You can get back on it
right after the begining of pit wall on your left. I try to get left side
tires to just tap the apron, helps the car from kissing that outside wall in
turn 4.
Cautions:
setup is a bit loose, on purpose. It comes to you in about 25 laps.
Tire wear is great, holds 155+ for 75+ laps.
Fuel useage is nominal, but still better than AI
I used this setup on NROS and it performed VERY well against other drivers.
I rarely lost a Dover race unless I crashed out by my own doing. Let her
drift up in 1, keep it low in 3 & 4
