N2/icr2 3dfx patch

I have noticed my converted indy tracks in n2 also use the voodoo card
when the 3dfx patch is applied. I dont think we will be waiting long for
the indy car version!

There's a big missunderstanding... ;^)

The exe is using the voodoo card, the tracks are just data. So any track
data used by an exe using the voodoo card would be displayed by the
voodoo
card. Phew!

Because the engines of N2 and ICR2 are quite different, I don't think we
will see a (good) 3Dfx CART sim before CART3... ;^)

Don't hold your breath, they haven't even seen fit to do anything about
getting ICR2 to run properly with V2x00 rendition cars.

Yeah, anything that comes for ICR2/CART Racing will have to be from the
private sector.  That sim is over and done with.  Papyrus would be very
fuelish to take resources away from their next three projects to throw at an
almost 3 year old sim that in sales long ago died.  I would hope some sore
of permant fix for the V2k cards would be do-able, but since even the fairly
new SODA is not getting a 3dfx patch, there is no way  that ICR2 will get
anything like that.  You'll have to wait til next spring and CART2 or
whatever they call it..

SODA isn't Papyrus', they just put there name on it.  So they wouldn't
be responcible for a Patch for the game.  Go to www.allies.com they
made the game.

They put their name on it because they "produced" the sim.  I am pretty
sure it is clear as to who programmed it.  But, Sierra is utlimately
responsible for a patch or not, as they released and marketed it.
