3dfx and ICR2: is there a patch?

by David Hast » Sat, 15 Aug 1998 04:00:00

Hello racers,

Can anyone tell me if there is a 3DFX patch for ICR2? Not the new Cart Racing.
I've got the N2 3DFX patch and thought that there might be one out there
somewhere. If there is, it would be greatly appreciated if you could send me
a web address where I could download it.
BTW I'm using a Creative Voodoo 2 12Mb card.

Thanks in advance
David Hastie

There is a WIN95 version of ICR2 that is an upgrade to the normal dos
version.. I don't know if this version uses Direct X or not. If it does, you
should
be able to run it from your V2 card.

The Win95 version uses DirectDraw, which is a component of DirectX, but not
the
3D component. I also have had no luck getting the DirectDraw stuff to work
under 98, but'
the game itself runs fine with DirectDraw turned off.
