GPL roll-bar driver view, I forgot the number.

Hello,

I forgot the number-value one can enter in GPL's "player.ini" file,
that allows for a driver-view up by the roll-bar. I pressed F-10 by
mistake, and that'll remove that roll-bar view. Should have, but I
didn't make a notes about it in the ini file.

Anyone know off-hand what the number-value is for roll-bar view?

 Thanks,  Matt

It's 12 as already mentioned, but a MUCH better solution is to go
here: http://warpedracing.figc.net/gaugepages/index.html
where you can download higher driving views for all the cars that allow
you to still see your mirrors and gauges, and they don't vanish when
you hit F10.

Okay, thanks for that page. I've always -craved- something like this
for GPL since it was made. Will have to try a couple, see if there's
any frame-rate hits (hope not).

I found the lowered***pit files, but can't figure out how to
install them.

The readme's are very easy for 5 of 7 cars. For instance, the
Coventry readme says:

 I don't have a file (to backup) called "Conventry.3do". Just a
"Conventry.dat" file. Am I missing some add-on file to try these
***pits?

For the Brabham (only) the readme says:

And for the Ferrari (only), the readme says:

I looked up, down, sideways, but can't find the files needed to run
any of the lowered***pits. Anyone know what I missed to load these?

It's my fault; been "out of touch" with GPL for 4/5 months, and was
really SURPRISED with all the new stuff available!

 Thanks, Matt (sitt'n on the roll-bar.. :)

That confused me also. If you don't have a *.3do file in there then ignore that
instuction, and just upzip into the cars directory, it works.

There are very nice high resolution***pits for those two cars that you have
to install before the high views will work with them. The web page is a bit
confusing. Read carefully the text next to the picture of the high driving
view, it directs you to the GPLEA pages where you download the highres***pit.
When your at the home page, there are two links, one to the***pit Shop, and
one to the GPLEA pages. The choosen page opens as a frame below.

Hello,

I moved them like you said, and still nothing. Then put them back
into each (individual) car-folder, residing in the "cars67" folder,
then they worked fine.

Pretty nice seeing over the dash! Some cars seem to have better
(higher) FOV than others, but most are a big improvement.

Re: hi-res***pits

Okay, think I saw them (really nice Ferrari and BRM pics); the very
first DL's of several in the bottom frame. Guess I'll try them,
although the 5 files I got don't cause any frame-rate problems, the
Ferrari and BRM might(?).  Oh well I'll fetch them and see.

 Thanks, Matt
