Can anyone tell me how to create a roll-bar view while driving the gpl
car?  Cockpit view too fast for my setup and skills.  Chase a little too
remote.

Thanks

Depends on the sim..if he's referring to GPL, then its a change in the .ini
file.  But off the top of my head I don't remember which setting is the
right one for the rollbar.  However, once you set it, if you toggle the F10
key you won't be able to go back to the rollbar view.

And, care to enlighten us as to these supposed bad habits of "alternate
views"? :?

Look for the line drivingview  = 1 in your player.ini file and change it to
drivingview = 12. Save your changes and hit the track. Keep in mind that when
you do this it disables your mirrors, so you might not want to do this while
racing on line, lest you take someone out just because you didn't know they
were there.
See ya in the pits

I have a terrible memory. In fact my memory's so bad I can't remember how long
it's been since I've forgotten anything.

It can be done. I have myself tried it for a little while, but I didn't
like to drive in that view. You have to edit your player.ini file. Under
[Personal Information] there is a spot where you can change your
drivingView. The normal view is number 1. I don't remember what was the
number for roll bar view so you have do some experimenting :)

change
drivingView = X
to
drivingView = 12
in c:\sierragpl\players\name_your\player.ini
